Jamie Edwards

Jamie Lee Edwards, Ed.M., serves as the Career Services Specialist in the Career Services Center and a Transitional Studies Adjunct Instructor at the State University of New York, Genesee Community College (SUNY GCC). She has earned her Ed.M. in Higher Education Administration and her B.A. in Social Sciences Interdisciplinary from the University at Buffalo, State University of New York (SUNY UB). Her work experience has been focused on student development and success through development and facilitation of courses, programming, and services. Jamie is a contributing chapter author in the open SUNY textbook Foundations of Academic Success: Words of Wisdom (Priester, 2015). She has previously taught student success / transitional studies courses at SUNY UB and Orleans-Niagara BOCES. She has also worked as a Campus Center Associate at SUNY GCC, an Academic Advisor at SUNY UB and within the Orientation and Family Program Department at the University of Texas at San Antonio. The diverse educational environments Jamie has excelled in throughout her time in Higher Education have provided her with a valuable foundation that brings her a unique perspective to any new task she takes on. She has found fulfillment in the work she has done within higher education and maintains an impassioned drive for her students.
